In case you haven't figured it out yet, embroidery is kind of my jam. I just finished an embroidery/needle felted piece for my dad, as a belated Father's Day present. What have you made this summer?

This past weekend my good friend and fellow art teacher, Beth, and I drove down to Nashville, TN to became Art Scouts. We got to hang out with a bunch of art teachers, experiment with a ton of new materials, and make some of our very own art to share with our classrooms. Nashville also has a brightly colored replica of Ancient Greece's Parthenon, which you can see below. I can't wait to show you what I made and saw while at camp!
Hey Rockets! This summer I got to travel to the island of Maui for my first family vacation in about twenty years. It was amazing! Maui is one of the Hawaiian islands and we stayed in the town of Kihei. One day we hiked up a mountain into the rainforest and the next we hiked down into a volcano. Check out some of the amazing views below. You know how much I like to travel and see art. This time most of the "art" was nature, and man, was it stunning.
